SPINNEYFields CHeesy Meatballs
Recipe: Spinneyfields Cheesy Meatballs
Fresh minced pork and beef combined with the strong, tangy flavour of Formaggio cheese, finished off with melted Spinneyfields Grated Mozzarella & Cheddar Blend
90g White Bread, cubed
125ml Milk, to soak
625g Minced Beef
625g Minced Pork
1½ cloves Garlic, chopped
1 bunch of Parsley, finely chopped
2 Onions, chopped
Sea salt and freshly ground black pepper
4 tbsp Olive oil
100g Grated Formaggio cheese
200g Spinneyfields Grated Mozzarella & Cheddar Blend
50g Caramelised Red Onion Chutney
Ready-made Pasta Sauce of choice
Pasta, rice or chips of choice
Method for the Pasta Bake
Gently fry the onion and garlic in the olive oil for 4-5 minutes until soft and a little golden. Allow to cool.
Soak the breadcrumbs in the milk.
Thoroughly mix the minced beef and pork with the onion and garlic, add the herbs, Formaggio cheese and the bread/milk, mix and season.
Divide the mixture into round meatballs, cover and chill until required.
To cook, heat the meatballs in olive oil for about 10 minutes in a frying pan.
When they are cooked, put them into a large ovenproof dish with the hot pasta sauce of your choice, and top with our delicious Spinneyfields Grated Mozzarella & Cheddar Blend.
Place under a preheated grill until the cheese has melted and browned.
Serve with cooked pasta, chips or rice for a delicious warming, comfort food treat.
